I've recently started contributing to
Long Views, the
Long Now Foundation's weblog about long term thinking, art, and ideas. There you can find
Stewart Brand's excellent
summaries of the monthly
Seminars About Long-Term Thinking, as well as other news and insights from what may the only organisation in the world specifically dedicated to fostering long-term responsibility.
My first few posts:
The Long You (3 July)
"The Iraq Gamble" (4 July)
Catastrophe a good bet? (6 July)
Slow Art (9 July)
Like the above, future posts from me are likely to revolve mainly around the
Long Bets project (my current focus as
Research Fellow at Long Now), and media, notably
Long Shorts -- films exemplifying long-term thinking or a longer perspective.
